The Bridge Group for Women

This is a free, 8-session, closed, evening group for women only.
The objectives are to increase participants’ resourcefulness, reduce isolation and to build resiliency.Topics include: self-esteem, assertiveness building, dealing with anger, building stronger relationships, reducing isolation and coping constructively with transitions.
This group runs three times a year.

This program is free to participants, but registration in advance is required.
No referral is needed.

Women to Women
This is an informal one session gathering held several times a year,
for connecting socially with other women, sharing a meal, discussion,
seasonally appropriate crafts and more.
The objectives are to reduce isolation and enjoy shared activities.
Watch for the gathering before the Christmas holidays to share in discussion and address the stresses often
connected to the holiday season.

This program is free to participants, but registration in advance is required.
No referral is needed.

This service is supported with funding from the United Way of York Region and Catholic Charities, and is provided in partnership with the Women's Centre of York Region.

Newcomer Women's Support Groups
This is an eight session group just for women who are new to Canada (up to five years). This program is provided in Spanish, Korean and Russian. Topics are chosen to reflect the special interests and concerns of newcomer women. Groups meet in our offices and in the community.
