Whether you’re new to Canada or just new to York Region, our library-based newcomer services are here to help you succeed.

Delivered through the Library Settlement Partnerships (LSP) program by CCSYR, these trusted, no-cost services offer a welcoming environment to practice English and build real community connections.

Important Eligibility Information

This program is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Only eligible clients may register and participate in this program.

Please bring one of the following documents to the registered event to verify your eligibility:

  • Permanent Resident (PR) Card (issued within the last 6 years)
  • Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR / Landing Paper)
  • Notice of Decision
